Smokey Bones in Fairview Heights

I am not a fan of misquoted wait times. If you tell me the wait is 35-40 minutes I can understand possibly it will 45 minutes. However, after 50 minutes to be told we “only” have two other parties ahead of us is ridiculous. Love the food, don’t mind the wait but appreciate a more accurate estimate so the rest of our evening could be planned accordingly. The holidays may increase customer volume, but good service should always be in season.

I travel alot. And its been such a long time since a steakhouse has prepared a steak the way I ask for it. Absolutely the best very rare steak in a very long time. Staff was friendly. The establishment was clean. EXCELLENT! Oh and the food was great. My husband loved the ribs he ordered.

We went at 5:30 pm.Place was packed, we got seated immediately. Our server Danielle was Wonderful! Never had to wait for refills on drinks etc. Food was excellent! We came because we had a gift card. And I can tell you our server was tipped very well! Will definitely be back!!

Have not been in awhile. Inside remodel is very nice. Our service was great and my 8 oz filet and husband's prime rib were perfect. Side salads were cold and fresh and baked sweet potatoes were hot and delicious.

I've longhorn before but this one was amazing. Idk if I've been eating my own cooking for to long over the lock-in but my food was great

The food was as good as always and our server was amazing. However, we had a large party and we called ahead a week in advance and then twice again before our event to make sure everything would be ready, and when we did arrive, they said that it would be an hour and a half to be seated because they gave away our spot. We weren't late, they just gave it away. They made no attempt to make it right, that was just "the way it was." My advice? Don't use them for your next celebration.

Ordered a to go tonight, they had It ready to go, everything was correct and cooked perfectly, very good! I would make the trip up there from pontoon! Great friendly service as well!

My favorite steakhouse in the immediate area. Steaks are cooked to order as requested. Longhorn has always had good service at this location. The helpings are just enough. You have to try their dessert called Stampede. Omgoodness! The best tasting dessert that I've ever had from a chain type restaurant.

Always good but we had to return both steaks. Cold, overcooked and to much tough stuff to enjoy them. We’ve taken a break and hope things get better.

Longhorn Steakhouse is great. Always great! Great food, great service, and great value. I love it!

Food was good, service great. 4 of us ordered steaks all cooked same way. 2 of 4 were overdone, 1 way underdone. Mine was perfect! I felt like I won the steak lottery...LOL.

Service was great! Food very tasty but they just had a problem getting a a T-bone cooked medium, kept looking med rare. Plus the filet side of the T- bone was a little scant but still tender and tasty. Also, they gave us a fresh sweet potato each time so that was great that they care about your sides being fresh with your refire. I ordered the 6oz. petite filet and it was cooked beautifully and seasoned well. Even my sweet potato was petite which was plenty for the portion sizes. Didn't have cocktail but i had dessert and I highly recommend this strawberry cake thing! AMAZING!!

Longhorn strikes again. Waited 40 min for 30 min quote. Finally sat down and starved. They are out of ALL bone in steaks. WHAT?? You have 1 job folks. Could not tell us that before a 40 min wait? Looks like were back to the TEXAS ROADHOUSE. BYE

All of the food was super salty. We had to ask for our own refills. Didn't get condiments when we asked for them a few times. The server was always in a rush even though her section wasn't busy. If she actually listened to what her customers were asking for, she wouldn't have to be so scatter brained and in a rush and could have saved some steps.

The bartender here provided excellent service on a super busy Friday night. Everything came out with almost perfect timing considering there was almost an hour wait when I got there. The food was perfect when it got to the bar, and there was a good amount of time between the bread, appetizer and the main meal. Drinks were good, and the food was delicious.

Just can't give it a full 5; the seating was slow, service was friendly, kitchen very slow, food was tasteful. This location is very convenient to the highway along with adequate parking. I would recommend the steaks cooked "Pittsburgh-med/rare" if you want a very tasty, juicy and carmelized steak. Salads are very good with homemade dressings, favorite was blue cheese.

Great food occasionally long wait to be seated due to being so busy

Went for my birthday. Got loaded potatoe soup it was good. Ordered steak (medium) and shrimp... shrimp was delicious steak was over cooked and very bland I gave it to my bf. Mac and cheese was good. I then ordered a Carmel apple dessert and tybee description said nothing of since kind of fruit sauce on I think maybe strawberry which kinda ruined it because ewwww. I think without it , it could have been awesome.

Steaks are always amazing and most of all the girls (boys) are working really hard and still have time for a little chat when they see us there. Management should call themselves very lucky with these employees!!!

The organization of their reservation system is lacking. If they take your phone number, you should get text updates about the status of your table. My steak was over cooked, husband’s was under cooked, and 3/4 of our group agreed that the steak sauce we received was not the brand we were told it was (did not taste like A1 at all)

Love their filet mignon. Very tender. The fresh baked warm bread is delicious, too. The wings are the best around. Although, there is always at least a 20 minute wait, it's always worth it.

Food was really good but... Service was only fair and we were seated by the take out counter which was lined up with people everywhere on Valentine's day. The waiter could not get to us and and people stood over us in line for take out while we were eating- awkward!!

Better that average steak house. It's a working man's steak house with entrees better than most restaurants in their price range.

Yum. I had Ribeye, salad and stuffed mushrooms. All were great! Nice atmosphere. I like dining in bar area, not so open, feels more homey and comfortable. Enjoy.

Bread was hot for a change the butter actually melted. The whole meal was hot and delicious. We had the bone in ribeye and the pork chops, very juicy and tasty. Thanks!

Food was great! Management was also great. My friend and I both ordered steaks, cooked medium. The steaks came back both well done. Not really a big deal, mistakes happen. The server apologized without hesitation and immediately had new steaks cooked for us. He told us to keep the old steak because it will just be thrown away. Then the manager came out to personally apologized and offered us free dessert. The steaks came out cooked perfectly and our wait wasn't long at all. Excellent customer service and great food.

Everything we ate was absolutely fabulous.!And our waitress Krenda, was so chipper and very helpful. My husband had the salmon and said he's never had better. I had NYstrip...OMG!! Definitely recommend.

Exceptional for the type of place you're going to. If you're looking for a steak, this place has plenty of what you're looking for, and will get it cooked right the first time. The cut I had was fantastic, and they cooked it to perfection. Top it off with great sides and you've got a recipe for a great night out with family.

Despite being very busy, we were seated fairly quickly, and food was brought out in a timely manner and cooked exactly as ordered. Wait staff was very professional as well. Definitely worthy of the 5 stars.

Steaks were great, mashed potatoes were cold. The server reheated them. Over all we had a nice time.

My husband and I have made it a tradition to go here every year for our anniversary and they never disappoint. We started with the wings and he had the full rack of ribs with the mac n cheese and I had the filet which was parmesan encrusted and fries. The steaks there are the very best which is why we love to go there, but our minds were blown by the ribs! Those are hands down the best ribs we have EVER had. The meat just falls off the bone and melts in your mouth it's so tender and packed with flavor! I wish I would of gotten pics before we dug in but his plate of bones speaks for itself!! From our waitress to the manager who had an awesome sense of humor when we tried to fake complain that the food was to good to the chefs in the back we thank you for helping us have another memorable anniversary there!

Our experience at Long Horn was amazing. Went there for my birthday. Food was excellent. Our waitress Kelly was great!

Our server Stacy was amazing! She was very prompt at anything we needed and very sweet to talk and joke around with. Our food came out pretty quick and everything was absolutely perfect! Knock on wood, I've never had a bad steak from here!

My whole place of employment had a lunch at longhorn. I'd never been there and I must say this: The servers did excellent!! While ordering I didn't feel pushed and was explained things to help me decide. The food came out in a timely manner and I would like to describe its flavor. The salad was absolutely amazing. Yes I like balsamic vinegar and they actually had it. The steak was so good and done exactly the way I wanted it to be. The taste so incredible that it did not require any steak sauce. We ordered dessert and I got a triple chocolate cake I think it was with French vanilla icecream. To melt and die for. Not to much chocolate and perfect with the icecream. Thank you for such a great experience and such a professional friendly environment.

I ordered curbside pick up from here for the 1st time and took the food to go to eat in a nearby park. The food order was correct, hot, and delicious! I wasn't sure that the quality would hold up during transport but it definitely did. We definitely will return again.
